I really like the Nokia N82′s launch… If you don’t consider the excessive blog coverage (which is duplicating the same news over and over) , true and false leaks and the guy in the Launch presentation, everything else seems quite spot on.

I like the product manager demonstration which doesn’t leave you standing in front of the pc thinking…”Ok, this is the usual marketing stuff, where is the *genuine* stuff?”. The guy is presenting with a casual shirt, seems uncomfortable, no smart suits, no journalist posture with his hands open like Jesus in his Last Supper, if it was live and not edited it would have been simply amazing.
I really don’t like wasting my time watching “press releases” (I actually I never watch them) but these days being open to its users it’s a necessity for Nokia and this launch resulted in something different on some level.. the live chat, the people there, the informal settings and Finnish accents, it was like you could see the people behind the company which is really nice (Nokia Connecting People
)
Then there is the documentary video “The making of the Nokia N82″.
By the way, the marketing was also more focused but no buzzword yet for the Nokia camera phones. We are still stuck with N-Series. Camera speed could also improve, please. Also, the guy in the Launch presentation reminds me of Gordon Brown when he was chancellor and had to deliver the budget report
