Apparently future Nokia mobile phones are going to be blessed with a “new feature” and I read a lot of comments/interest about this. The new feature is Demand Paging! It was presented at recent Smartphone Show and you can read more about DP from here and here and recently commented here (I actually read about this months ago from here). You see, I think that this is definitively NOT an new/extra/anticipated feature…it’s a functionality I would expect from any Smartphone.

I.e. the mobile phone’s responsiveness, short boot-up time and the ability to use any application without running into “out of memory” problems should be the standard and not a new feature…If there is something new to be announced, this should be called a “fix”!
